Music Loops and Samples

My business, SundayisFunday.com is refocusing its path. Yes, we still love the NFL and tailgate parties (when we ever find the time)! But it is now time to move forward and into our core business, music.

The computer music industry is taking America by storm. It is the "wav" of the future! (pun intended)

It will be my personal goal to help as many people as possible with answers to their questions, and answers to their musical needs (mainly loops and samples of music).

Good-bye to the big record companies (unless they can see this coming, they might want to hop on board instead of trying to stop this train from rolling).

Money in the future will be made by companies that distribute music parts (wave files) to individuals via downloading world wide on the internet.

It is so important for companies to understand this, I will repeat it: Money in the future will be made by companies that distribute music parts (wave files) to individuals via downloading world wide on the internet.

Participants will be DJ's, computer musican's, high school kids writing new fight songs, college kids crafting new ideas for the future, musicans trying to enhance their own play, and people we just did not ever envision utilizing the new music making tools.

I personally have several tools. The one I like best (ease of use and flexibility) is Magix Music Maker.

What can never exist?

Nothing. "Nothing" is the one thing you can be sure of that will never exist.
The Creator

If there is a creator, and he has created everything around you from here and to all points beyond, then he probably has factored in an after life.

uh oh

MySpace Woman (take 4) is now up! Here's the link: My Space Woman

If you have been following along, I started working on this song (switched horses in mid stream). It has come along nicely, and has made me aware of my needs in the studio (better microphone!). So, I did purchase a condenser mic. It is a big improvement. I have some tricks too that I'll share someday. Gotta have your own unique sound!

On the back of my book (How to make a song), put the word "tools" at the top. And here is the list of important sites for WRITING asong:

RhymeZone.com

PartnersinRhyme.com

PeaceLoveProductions.com

Reference.com

IPL.org

refdesk.com

And that is all! So, you want to know what to do next right? You did your research, the page is full of ideas. Now you can sit down with a beat, or the song if you wish. And start to try to put it together. Your song words and order will almost definetly be different than that of what is on your paper. The object is to get your mind into the environment of your topic. And you have plenty of information and ideas now from which to compose.

I am going to do less blogging, less posting of pictures and MORE of making music. The best way to become better at something is to DO it. There is no substitution for experience (not yet in 2006, I'm sure someone will have a substitution someday).

Peace Out!

My Apology

I am sorry for using my friends photos and other photos on my personal and private blog to share with the world. From this day forward I will keep my personal life separate from business. Now I know why people have thier business at a different place than thier private life.

As I said before, this whole "Compusician" and "SundayisFunday.com" thing was an experiment. With the way the world is today, it is better that I stop putting my personal life on the center stage. I love the center stage, but I see that most people prefer privacy. It is something to be cherished.

I will continue this blog as a public blog and only share musical ideas and thoughts related to this. You can share this part too.

Once again, I apologize to anyone who is offended. Gary Ruff, aka: The Compusician

PS My fan site is at www.MySpace.com/compusician join up and drop me a note! I will personally respond!
