My Ukraine Girls

Still kicking around a title for this song. Okay, here is the link to start this project off. I think everything is still free, but hurry! (Okay, that was cheap...). I'm a music man not a SALES man, that's for sure!

(Not too sure about the music part either???)

I just uploaded the intro beat to SpliceMusic. Here is the Link:

Ukraine Girls

The song is well on its way. Instead of calling my files "Jackson" (I use a different City for each song), I will use Kiev. So, the first beat sample I will upload to SpliceMusic.com will be something like:

Kiev-Beat-INTRO1-132-Compusician-mp3

This way, you can search for all the samples related to the song, "Ukraine Girls" just by putting in the search box: Compusician and Kiev.

Oh, and I use USA cities for 120 beats per minute, and now I use Ukraine Cities for 132 beats per minute.

I know it doesn't matter much now, but if I should ever happen to stumble upon a hit song (like about 100 in a row), then people can come back and look at this stuff. Who cares who is dating who in hollywood, or what the king of pop ate for breakfeast this morning?

It would have been great to have legends like Buddy Holly, Elvis, and you know the list... living today or at least how they crafted their art!

Peace Out, Gary Ruff The Compusician

Oh, and yes I did lay down a bass line. It's not right. I think I will use AC/DC's style, and craft from the riff. So, be patient, I'm making a guitar chord riff for the song. I will build off of that. I hope to make a song that sounds like DePeche Mode meets AC/DC. Usually my songs sound like Earnie meets Bert. So, back to the microphone I go! (Lyrics are starting to run through my head. I'm not writing a Physics theorm, just some simple lines going through my head).
I want a Ukraine Girl

I'm going to write a song about some aspect of this topic, getting a Ukraine Girl. I have decided on a rock dance style song and I'll increase the beat from my usual 120 bpm, to 132 bpm.

So, that's the start. A song called, "Ukraine Girl" at 132 beats per minute set in the Dance and Rock styles. That is October 0f 2008's song. Since this is the first time I am doing it this way, I'll learn with you the ups and downs. It could be quite possible that one of you reading this will actually finish the song before I do! Why? Because, as I make the song parts, I am uploading them to SpliceMusic, and you can easily change the parts around, add your own sounds, or remix it before I do the final take.

Just think (in my dreams, and many other musicians), there will be millions of versions of my song BEFORE I have ever released it (by the way Music Industry Leaders... this would seem to me to be a great way to make money... Since the market will be flooded with your Band's song before it even comes out, so many good and bad quality tunes, you have the "convenience factor" working in your favor).

Let me give an example. Brittney Spears announces she is going to make a song with the public (just like I will try to do here, except she will actually have fans). Maybe a contest. Maybe if there are too many entries, have an entry fee like they do for Chess Tournaments (only this is a song tournament). Winners get the cash, recording deal yada yada...

While she is making this song, maybe she uses other people's ideas along the way. This increases her fan loyalty. Now, how to market this song when it is done and has flooded the market ahead of time? When she decides to start coming to the communities where the best songs were produced by her fans, the news media will give free advertising (especially when it involves children, schools, hospitals).

Also, because the internet will be soooooo flooded with her tune that is not the one Brittney is selling, a music lover will just go to her site and buy it for a small price. Convenience. If it becomes a hit, and others have helped make the tune, and others will be seeing Brittney in her community, she will do even better on her next song (when people see that anybody can contribute to a succesful venture).

And if the music biz does not like my idea, then I will do it.

Peace Out, Gary Ruff The Compusician

PS... Ahhh.... a Ukraine Girl, much better than Brittney for sure!
All right...

I am still working with 120 bpm music. This next set is the "Jackson" set. You can start to hear this new baby's (song) song take shape over at SpliceMusic.com ... as a matter of fact, it might be better for me to get the beat up there BEFORE I start this quest...

So that is what I'll do. And in the mean time, I'll think of a topic or subject that really makes me excited...

Peace Out, Gary

Art. A picture is worth a thousand words. Art. And when art is displayed, a piece of the artist has left his soul, but the world of inspiration, thought, and imagination is exponential. There is an abundant never ending supply of "soul", no matter how much of it we give away. Art.

The Birth Canal

Before the chicken. Before the egg. First came the IDEA...

I have included in my personal checklist of song making to include the fore thoughts to the song. Many ask which came first, the lyrics or the music. But before any of that happens, something has to spark an idea. I want to try and capture that spark, that one moment in time that leads to the completion of a song. "Song Blogging" I guess you can call it.

And, as god to my music, I see a vision (I vision a scene?)... where many people are in the chat with me, and many people are blogging their own ideas with me, and with us together... that leads to the birth of many new song adventures.

I'll start out with the blog (not much for chatting you know...). If you got some ideas for a song, or some comments on anything that interests you (and me) in this universe... now is the time to speak up! Hurry! We're having a baby! :)

Peace Out, The Compusician

Who is John Peniel?

I tried to find out this info on line using Google, and seemed to be difficult if you do not have the correct Spelling.

He is suppose to be the World Leader or Messenger, that will bring to the world, a new order of things. Is this good or bad? I don't know. You decide for yourself. Article Link: http://www.atlantis.to/edgar-cayce.htm

I found spellings like, Jon, John, Panille, Panile, Penile, Peneil, Peniel, Panilla, and the list goes on. The correct spelling according to Edgar Cayce is Jon Peniel.

My concern is that often these oracles are not often right, but strangely very close to thier predictions. Has anyone on the inside notice that John McCain and Sarah Palin are oddly close to this prediction?

I wonder what message they have to deliver?

These next few years will prove to be very interesting indeed. Either way, Obama or McCain, we will be in for a ride as these people have not much to do with the order in which the country was left for them to lead. I will of course support whichever candidate we select, for I am an American... and that gives me a right to complain about things from time to time.

Good luck to the winner, may God Bless us all.

Peace Out, Gary Ruff

Cocoa And Bananas

I was buying these pills online for "cocoa". Americans take pills for everything. I think it is a convenience factor. However, I found in the store over there at Wal-Mart, some Cocoa.

It was brown, all ground up, and appeared to be ready to use. It does not dissolve in water, at least in a fast manner. But, it will dissolve if you let it stand for a while.

Ingredients: Cocoa

That's what the label said, and it cost me only 2 or 3 dollars.

So, I tried it in my tea. Yuk. I tried to dissolve it in water. In time, it worked! But still, yuk.

Then the magic happened! I peeled a banana and stuck it in the cocoa jar... a home run!

So Hershey listen up! Bananas and Cocoa are the next big thing! Maybe throw in some Peanut Butter?

Wow! I have to try it! I'll be back soon...

Sincerely, Gary Ruff, Peace Out!
N2W

I have an idea for Lone Star Park, the “Not to Win” pool. Of course, only available at Lone Star Park on line or at the event.

Here's how it works: First, Gary Ruff gets season box seats for life for coming up with this idea (with courtesy free meal and 2 drinks). If another park uses my idea, I'll do the deal with them.

2.You create a “Not to Win Pool”. It acts much like “shorting the stock market”.
3.If I bet the 6 horse “Not to Win” (N2W), then I will get paid from the pool by WHERE the 6 horse finishes. If it finishes last, (like Big Brown), AND not many players placed this same bet, then I am a big winner.
4.If the horse finishes somewhere in between, say 4th... then the pool is divided as such:

1.   0%
2.   2%
3.   3%
4.   4%
5.   5%
6.   16%
7.   17%
8.   18%
9.   9th to last gets split up evenly

You can offer DNF insurance or Scratch insurance so that bettors whom use a system can feel confident that their bets will be safe far in advance of the race.

Example: I get on line a few days early of the Preakness. I have a system. The Preakness offers me DNF or Scratch insurance (DNFSI) for a rate of $1.00 for the entire race day. ($1.00 is just an example, that can be determined later how to develop the real price). If something “odd” happens that day, the insurance pool can pay out to the bettors affected.

As a matter of fact, if you combine my N2W idea with DNF and Scratch insurance, you could come with a pool called “Loss Protection Insurance”. Just think if everyone coming to the track today purchased the insurance, through some computerized system, they ALL could leave with a check.

What? Yes. When they get home, they are still tied to the races because they will want to know what their “insurance” will pay. Make insurance cost $1.00 per unit. They can purchase as little as 1 unit or units much higher of insurance! What does this do? Well, first of all, people will feel protected and less afraid to come to the race park to place conventional bets. Secondly, they will feel more free to bet on Big Brown to win, as they place an insurance bet (a real insurance bet) that he doesn't do any worse!

The track is not losing any money. The bettors place their insurance bet and draw from the pool the same as if they were betting to win. The difference is that the common guy will feel protected, and gambling will become more “friendly”.

Peace Out, Gary Ruff - Horse Bettor and Compusician

PS There are 2 main motivating factors in life (maybe more). Greed and Fear. Why not make money at both ends? If I go in and bet on Big Brown to Win, maybe I have a 10 cent fear with that bet. 10 cents of insurance. If I go in and bet “Gary's Dream O Rama”, maybe I want to purchase a little more insurance. The point is, money can be made playing on both ends of Greed and Fear, not just Greed.

Love is the 3rd motivating factor, I haven't quite figured out LEGALLY how to do that one! :)

(And if you did, what would the Brothels in Nevada be like????)

MotoRokr!

Damn! It's about time they have a cell phone that plays music (not that iTunes, stuff, but mp3!).

It will be great when my new cell phone company can provide this phone, Net10. I want music in my cell phone! And I want to hear via Blue Tooth! And a camera would be nice, with International Text Messaging.

Heres the ROKR Video: http://direct.motorola.com/hellomoto/rokre8/experience/#blog-this-video

And to dream about the future? A phone that lets me download a movie, connect it up to my TV and I have the ultimate phone, music player, video device.

And??? .... oh yes, as a guy, I want to be able to download a Steelers Game in progress, while it plays on my TV.

:)

But who wants to make money anyways? Go to work techies!

Love Ya, Peace Out, Gary Ruff

PS Techies, you need to develop a path for the money to flow worldwide. PayPal seems like a possibility. It has to be "open market" too. Why? Open Market is what seems to support creativity. If we had an open market on energy, would we all be buying oil? I think not.
