Music as I see it

Yes, as I “see” it. I am amazed at the talented bands that have not made it “big”. Some of the bands that I hear, are far more superior than any big time band that has made it to the top.

I guess the reality must be that there is already one U2, or a Panic at the Disco!, so why would there be a need for another one?

Well, that may be the reasoning which most makes sense, but my reality will tell you that one band had a mental picture of the success they were to have, while the other band did not use “mental pictures” as a path to their success.

Let me make it clear as to what that picture should be. Tiger Woods would tell you that he has a mental picture of how the ball will track, and what will happen along the way as he putts the ball. That is the right mental picture. No where in his picture is he visioning a Buick driving up, a man handing him millions of dollars, and marrying a beautiful model. His success brought him all of that. And his success was brought by the mental pictures he uses to make him a better player.

The same should be true in any successful adventure. Garner a mental picture of how you actually see things going in your music. Forget the fans, the models, the money, because that will never happen without your mental picture to music. Sure, you have bands you like to emulate, and that is a good mental picture. On the other hand, I would develop the picture to look similar to this for example: “I will hit this string, give it a bit of a Beck flair with a Clapton rhythm. I will try to hammer on this specific note to call it my own style.”

This is what I mean by “seeing” your music success. The actual playing, not the actual scenario at the club. Although, I will say it is a good idea to dream a bit, eh?

I myself actually DO see the music for I am a Computer Musician and I work with colors and diagrams on the computer screen all of the time. It has broadened my insight as to how music is produced and arranged. When I visualize something to take place in my song, sometimes what I see is different from what actually happens. And like the Tiger Woods example, when he hits the ball, I am sure it does not go in the cup every time (but I bet it did when he visualized it!).

And like Tiger, I will work on those things which will make me a better musician, not necessarily a musician that is like the rest. And that can be a good thing or bad thing for the world, but for me I'm okay with it. (Know any other bands with a cartoon fish named SicoFish in a virtual rock band named BL8ant?).

Poor and Rich unite as one
Chasing evil power gone
Love is on the run

Refrain:

Verse 3:

Like David and Goliath
or the Great Revolution
Love will make you stronger
Make LOVE your contribution

Chasing evil power gone
Love is on the run

Song Lyrics Development:

Fight is not between the rich and poor. There's a middle man, a broker. He thrives on both fear and greed. Like the pedofile, he has a serious problem. It goes undetected for he actually is the one who makes the laws, and when he needs accomplishment he utilizes the tool called fear against the poor, (the masses) while at the same time on the same issue is utilizing his tool called greed against the rich. This is the illusion the power monger creates, and the worst part of it all he sees only the good he does, not the waste of lives, individual lives one by one as humanity falls.

The great hope, and the one emotion that is always forgotten is the tool called "love". Love can make David stand against Goliath. Love can make one man believe he can win an American Revolution against Great Britain. Love always seems to be the strongest power, but the least tool used against good's enemies.

While this observation I have, will be met with little accolade or acceptance, as years pass, as refinement of thought occurs, it will become recognized and perhaps even accepted. People who desire, crave and want power, real pure power, are deviants to society and are very dangerous indeed. One only has to look at a few examples of our past (Hitler, Stalin) and wonder who the next will be in the future. Humanity dictates that there will be another.

This should be enough to construct a song called "World Revolution". We must harness the power of "Love" and get back on course to our freedoms and respect as human beings.

This is how I write music. I spell it out, design it up for theatrics.

That's right. I have more lyrics in my mind than I have time for which to score the music. So, I decided to let it flow out, and into the hands of all musicians, all over the world.

You have my permission, with little exception, to use the lyrics I created for this particular song in your own art, as long as you give me some credit for my contribution. Example: “Words co-written by the Compusician”, or "Inspired by Gary Ruff", and a link on your product, website or blog to SundayisFunday.com ( www.SundayisFunday.com ).

You may notice I include with this free service, a list of words and some rhymes. I put this out there too because you just might be searching for inspiration to a whole other point in your art. There are programs out there to help you write a song from a rough idea. I like to use "Verse Perfect" and "Rhymesaurus".

Lastly, I think of a song as growing a flower. Add some water, sun, dirt, and time and eventually something beautiful happens. But nature does not end the flower there, and nor should the song end there. The flower contains seeds for the next crop. With the new business model of music (see www.ReverbNation.com/bl8ant ), natures way of developing beautiful flowers for everyone to see, is the same way I vision the future of the music business. Artists will share their music, and develop revenue for the "music house" by the number of clicks the artist generates for the label. Thus, the more that is "free", will result in more clicks, which lead to bigger pay outs for the artist and label. When the record industry embraces this concept, there will be avenues of cash flowing in, since most people world wide just want to remix or make a ring tone special to their own lives.

And, this concept would be great for the company that wishes to buy the name, "Compusician", a registered trade mark for sale (I have Sony or someone big in mind, to cut a special deal).

My thought on this song... I am still new to this art. I see where I did a lot of word searching etc, but little of it I used in my song. And, the song I had in mind from the start, evolved into something different. Like perhaps a baseball player who intends to hit to right field deep, but hits one to the left third base. I don't know if that is good or bad? But anyways, I will develop this song and see what happens.

Carbon Tax, No. “Tetra Hydrocarbon Tax”, YES!

I'm Going Green!

The Obama Administration (WhiteHouse.gov), and the current Congress needs to federally legalize Marijuana. Gary Ruff, founder of www.SundayisFunday.com says this needs to be a “federal run” operation. This means that the Federal Government not only taxes and regulates Marijuana, but manufactures the bud (does not allow private industry to make, sell, or market the drug).

Here is why. With the oncoming events of the world economic crisis, befitted with the intolerance of the people of the world, a drug that actually calms people might be the way to go. Also, we need to separate “Private Company” functions from “Federal Government” functions.

The revenues generated for the government should only be used to pay down the debt and print more money. You thought oil was big? (I heard Hemp can be used as a fuel also.)

Also, people who violate the authority of the government and its exclusive right to manufacture, sell or market Marijuana should be sought out and prosecuted (you have to give something to get something).

Maybe the “Jane” could be cut to different strengths, be measured on breathalysers just like alcohol, and basically be moderated similar to alcohol as a “special” tobacco, by the ATF.

Eventually America will move towards a sales tax or www.FairTax.org system because it is clear that with President Obama, what the people want the people will get. Trust me on that.

Why have a “Carbon Tax” when we could actually have a “Hydrocarbon Tax”? That's right Al Gore, let the people vote for their preference:

What do you prefer?

A) A Carbon Tax
B) A Hydrocarbon Tax
C) Keep everything the same, it seems to be working good.

If you like the idea of legalizing marijuana, and want to make this possible, please do the following few things:

Send an e-mail to your friends, post bulletins on MySpace, and help get out the word with this idea. President Obama does listen to the people. Use you creativity (legal creativity).

We need to rally support for this “thing”. Voice your opinions at BL8ant's Blog: SundayisFunday Blog. This is the best place to “add your two cents”.

(You've sent this letter in your e-mail to friends. You made your voice heard on the blog.) Lastly, request our leaders to address this “thing”, from the Mayor to the President. Be anonymous if you prefer. Let them know we offer a solution to our economic crisis, but with a price.

My friends, we already have the “bowl rolling”, sort of speak. We really do need your help. Soon BL8ant band is coming out with a song (“thing”) called, “I'm going Green”. Other bands are more than welcome to use that EXACT song title to spread the word. It will be the first time in music history where millions of songs have the same name, but by different artists! And you can already imagine the T-Shirts!

Anyone willing to help out in any aspect of this adventure is welcome to drop a line to Gary, The Compusician.

TheCompusician@yahoo.com

Gary Ruff is the person heading up this daring, but wildly adventurous idea. We are wanting something to make Woodstock (a musical event) look like a back yard barbecue, and you can be part of it. You can send Gary your thoughts and ideas, as we start to form the committee. Yes, we still need some more established bands, as well as up and coming ones. We will be looking to stage this event in the Arlington, Texas area right by the Dallas Fort Worth airport.

(Yes, copy this whole letter and forward it to your friends. Add your own two cents or advertising to this letter if you wish, but please understand that the committee is not responsible for your words or actions, you are... imagine that).

This is not a political movement or action. This is about making a song, “I'm going Green!”. The right of the people to protest and assemble.

(Imagine 1 in 10 Americans “Go Green”. That is about 30 million people. “Going Green” once per week yields a gross revenue to the nation (at $10 a “cooperative”, instead of calling it a “joint”) equals 300 million dollars per week, or 156 Billion Dollars per Year! ($156,000,000,000 ! I haven't seen that many “zeros” in one place since Congress and the Supreme Court went into session!).

They like to joke as well as we do folks, so please understand that no disrespect is intended. I hope to see them at the concert!

NCAA Printable Blank Bracket

Here it is the NCAA Tournament Blank Braket for your picks. Print it our on your computer!

NCAA - Memphis wins!

That is what the headlines will read. I am a time traveler. I found a current newspaper still in business, and my advice is to lay it on Memphis.

Now I know what your thinking. If I know who will win, why would I tell you the truth? I can make more money if I lie to you. So, if you think like this then maybe you should lay it on Louisville?

The Cardinals overall have not had a winning year (AZ Cards folks, a joke).

But then maybe you are the underdog picker? How is Texas for an underdog? I agree, not a good pick, but God does have a sense of humor sometimes.

The Buckeyes? God is not that humorous. I know who wins. You do not.

My streak? Obama, Steelers, and Buffalo. So far so good. Take the Cardinals if you read this far. With punishment comes reward!

Here's the bracket (I'm betting on no one reads the real winner): (see above)

Obama Speech

"We look to the future and worry, (Obama pause)... but at the same time (crowd starts fixed roar, Obama slight delay... then burst), we thank God for the past!" (Audience explodes!!!!)

That is EXACTLY what the President should say in his next IMPORTANT speech, because he is a man of God, and it is true. We all do this same thing as Republicans, Democrats or Independents.

Make my own Birthday Song

How many times have you wanted to just make your own Birthday Song, private and special, for someone you care about? Okay, what if the Birthday Song is FREE?

Well, if you do NOT want to make your own song, then head over to BL8ant's web site, just the same. The first song is a generic, free, already sang upon song.

But just below that, is the instrumental of the Happy Birthday Song. This allows you to download the instrumental, then play it on your computer as you creatively sing your own words into your microphone (called dubbing or over dubbing).

To record, I prefer to use the free program called Audacity, but Microsoft has a free recorder in Windows called “Sound Recorder”.

To make yourself sound great, head over to www.SundayisFunday.com and see all of the places this project can take you! If you are young at heart, maybe you want to give Mom or Dad a Birthday song with your voice, and Animation!

This song is totally free. You can spread it around, make your own song, or even make another song out of it like, “Hey, Congratulations on the Graduation”! If you are so kind, let the world know that the Compusician helped you out. No fees. No money. No Bailout. Nothing but some kind words.

It's getting to be time...
As law makers move to restrict our rights and our freedoms provided by the Constitution, it's time to start fighting back... in court.

Since Doctor's, Lawyers, Truck Driver's, and most Americans can be sued to some extent for "malpractice", it is time we start holding our law makers and justices to the same standards.

When a Sheriff is ordered to confiscate guns, he must understand that he has laws to follow, supreme laws of the land. A court should decide if an individuals rights were violated, IN A CIVIL COURT.

We need all powers to realize that our rights do have a price tag. To act outside of the Constitution has financial price. Perhaps a class action suit will be in order, perhaps not. This issue needs to be addressed, for no one is above the law, not even the Supreme Court Justices.

We should hold them personally financially liable for violation of an individuals rights, just as a Doctor would be in a malpractice lawsuit.

I offer as a starting point, a price for an individuals rights. At minimum, a person's rights should be worth the minimum wage, multiplied by the times the hours of rights lost up to 24 hours per day.

A State that passes a gun ban, and without modification to the US Constitution, has clearly violated the law. The figure a lawyer should seek should include all citizens of that State from the time the illegal law went into effect. Only those legislatures who voted to violate the law should be held personally accountable.

We are Americans, and if we can sue for a spilled cup of coffee at McDonald's, then by golly it's time we start suing for our freedom.

Peace Out, Gary Ruff

PS It's just an idea, let's get some more ideas out there...
Exciting, New Recipe!

Compusician's Cream:

1 Cup Heavy Cream
3 Tablespoons Ranch Dressing

Use egg beater to whip the combination in a bowl. You are making whip cream with a ranch flair. It is quite the new chip dip craze! So new, it was born here. Add chives and spices to taste after cream is whipped.

This recipe is made public, and inteneded to be shared with others. If you have any fresh ideas you wish to share, then by all means please share one or two of them here.

Here's what the Univesre needs

I love to just throw it out there, into the Universe. What we need is a renewable energy source we can plug into our wall. That's what I said. Plug it into our walls at home.

The idea is to plug a unit into the wall that will be connected to some renewable energy source such as wind or solar. The unit then sells back it's energy to the power grid, but when the homeowner needs the extra power for lights and TV at night, the unit can deliver electricity from the grid (basically just turn off since it is only plugged into a wall socket).

Okay braniacs, there it is. Sell a unit to me!

Peace Out, Gary Ruff
Particle Accelerator

There are people out there who actually believe that the particle accelerators are designs by the wealthy, using the money of the public, to produce elements, namely Gold.

The theory is that if all things are contained in one atom, by smashing it, it will produce all of the elements contained in that atom.

And you thought these expensive accelerators were to help mankind?

Wealth causes blindness perhaps. Why? Because if you discover an endless source of ANY of the Elements on the periodic table, they will have the value of air.

It is amazing what greed does to a mans mind, and other men's Liberty and Finances.

By the way, the particle accelerators will not create a “Black Hole”. Man can never destroy what God has intended.

Peace Out, Gary Ruff (really, just a musician)
The Rich Man, Poor Man, and the Power Man

For years, I thought it was the rich man who represented the elite. I thought the war that was being fought was rich versus poor (the have versus the have not).

I think it's time that both groups (rich and poor) realize that there is another force we are dealing with, and that the class warfare that we would normally think of as rich versus poor is not true at all.

I think that the powerful have used the rich for their money, and the poor for their votes. I think that there is something wrong with a man that declares to one group that “it is better for all”, while he declares for the other group, “it will make you more wealthy”.

This means that the powerful (there is Rich, Poor, and Powerful) will keep playing this card until he reaches his end. I imagine his end is the domination of the world, but in his quest so far, 100 percent of the time, he has failed while millions have lost money and lives.

The rich need to fear the powerful with equal fervor as the poor. The powerful use greed to manipulate the rich. The powerful use fear to manipulate the poor.

George Washington could have been considered a rich man, but was never an enemy to the poor.

I think the poor man's best friend is the rich man who has a soul, a heart. The rich man who is manipulated by greed will not change.

There is a 4th man, not rich, not poor, not powerful. No. This man is the “Love Man”. Yes.

Believe it or not, there are truly some people who care about others more than they care about money, power, fear, or greed. And sometimes these men, the Love Man, can fall into several groups.

Love + Power = Jesus (and there are others)
Love + Poor = Mother Teresa (is near the top of the list)
Love + Rich = (Your Father when you were a child) and James Madison

I will end on asking what your thoughts are. One man cannot have all of the answers. I just wanted to share with you that I think many Americans, many “Worldans” are being played against each other. I believe that there are some good, and powerful people in this world, the sea of evil. The Sea of Evil... The Land of Good...?

Peace Out, Gary Ruff, The Compusician

President Un-Elect Gary Ruff

Here's the proof I ran for President. It is also proof that anyone can pursue their dreams in America, no matter how impossible.

Peace Out, Gary Ruff

EinStud

Welcome to EinStud.com! We are the one place you can go, to get ALL that you need to know, for horse racing. We guarantee you will not lose any money if you follow our simple rules. You'll be spending more time with your friends and family once you learn and practice our method.

Here is the secret method to not losing any money on gambling on the horse races: DON'T BET ANY MONEY ON THE HORSE RACES.

Here is why. There are many factors that make consistent winning difficult. And, to add to this, when there is consistency to a horse winning a race, the amount of money that will be won declines to the point where it will be difficult to make up your losses.

But, if you are like EinStud, you will keep trying and trying. One day a system works, but the next day it seems to fail you.

The best horse doesn't win very often, yet players will pick the best horses from the past performances. When the best horse does win, every one bet on him anyways!

The mid shot or long shot is a good idea, but it won't work either because you are betting on horses that have shown to be inferior.

The best idea is to not look at the horse, but bet on the pool. Find 3-1 and bet on those maybe 3 horses, BUT this “best idea” has proven to fail over time, especially at tracks that have great horses and great jockeys.

Weather, horse's mood, health of horse, mistakes, cheating, and the list goes on of what you cannot predict consistently with accuracy.

Why do I write about this? I want to save thousands of others from wasting their time. If you really love predicting which horse will win, then get in the business side of making Tip Sheets. There you can predict with 100 percent accuracy that another fool will come along thinking he or she can be the one who will beat the track.

Sorry about the harsh words, and I hope the tracks realize that my warning here is actually a service to them because they are really interested in patrons having a good time and spending a reasonable amount of money. I do not think a track owner wishes to see a guy or girl throw away his life savings.

And if you do want to spend some money on horse racing you could always buy a horse and get involved in this sport. Maybe you could look over the Internet and find some people pooling their money to buy a race horse, who knows?

And lastly, gambling on a horse to win a race can be fun and enjoyable as a date or night out. If you want to score really big, ask her which horse, play with the idea, and then take her suggestion.

Peace Out, Gary Ruff, the Compusician (and now EinStud too I guess????)
