Lifting heavy blocks, pyramid size.
Hydroplaning is the key concept.
Experiment:
A large block rests on a flat, circle shaped surface, under water. The surface starts to spin, thus causing the block to spin. The surface will start to spin faster than the block because the block has resistance to the water. This slippage allows water to enter between the block and the surface causing a "hydroplaning" effect. You can easily move the block anywhere on the surface.
Let's not stop there. Let's say that one was to use principles of electricity and magnetics. It would not be too long to figure out how the block could be lifted when more energy is applied. My guess is that the salt in the water is important to this type of experiment.
Flood the area with water, charge the surface and the block. Spin the surface to increase the magnetic field, and lift the block.
