Does "GOD" Exist?
This is one of the best explanations of why God allows pain and suffering that I have seen.
It's an explanation other people will understand.

A man went to a barber shop to have his haircut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects. When they eventually touched on the subjectof God, the barber said, "I don't believe that God exists." "Why do you say that?", asked the customer. "Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can't imagine a loving a God who would allow all of these things."

The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond because he didn't want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop. Just after he left the barber shop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and unkempt. The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber, "You know what? Barbers do not exist." "How can you say that?", asked the surprised barber. "I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!" "No!" the customer exclaimed. "Barbers don't exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside."

"Ah, but barbers DO exist! What happens is, people do not come to me." "Exactly!", affirmed the customer. "That's the point! God, too, DOES exist! What happens, is, people don't go to Him and do not look for Him. That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world."

Satisfying Notion 2004

Imagine yourself in a scene
Come on in,
And see what I mean…

Take the time to transform
From the ordinary to extraordinary
Like the surprise force of the storm.

Imagine a place exciting and free
Dancing and singing is where you can be

Take the time to desire
Safe adventures like none prior.

A SPARK a BOOM a LOUD explosion!

Imagine the calm, the peace, the
Satisfying notion…
It’s good to be different together…

Good-Bye

Good-bye

Half the love is gone
But I wonder when
When it’s my turn to go
We’re not together again

Good-bye

My greatest loss, my love, my friend
Are the times I remember when
The times we shared, you were my best friend

Good-bye, Good-bye
Well, Today I want to share with the world that my Mother is my best friend. If ever I am to find a girl to spend the rest of my life with, I would hope she is like Mom. I know that this does not sound too great to the girls out there, but I am not speaking about my Cooking and Cleaning Mom. I speak of the Mom I have who is kind, caring and seems to have a better knowledge of how life works. The Mom I love had a stroke last week. Last night I heard that she has become unresponsive. I fear that I will be losing my best friend very soon. We talked all of the time. We argued, we loved.

I will share a short poem I have in the next entry. As a matter of fact many of my poems and thoughts will be shared here, along with the jokes and people having fun with friends and family. Everything we have that is worth having is only worth having when we can share with others. I will have to face a new life with my greatest loss, my Mother. And it has occured to me that I am not the only one with this loss. I hope you may be inspired to write something nice about someone you love, and let them find it when they are still here!

I love you Mom.
