Drug Testing. the DOT, and the rights of all Americans

The new standards for drug testing violate our rights to privacy, and I think it's time we start holding the Government Officials financially responsible in Civil Courts for their “malpractice”, just as lawyers press Doctors for malpractice suits.

Gary Ruff, a politician and a lesser known candidate for President of the United States has launched an idea to start holding our officials to the same standards they promote for the people they serve. “How is it that Texas Child Enforcement Workers (CPS) can storm a house, take 400 children, and then have no liability for blatantly violating citizens rights? The person in charge who ordered the action violating their rights should be the one held personally financially liable just as a Doctor would who works for a hospital”, says Ruff.

It seems that our officials seem oblivious to the fear of any consequence for their illegal actions. I think when a judge determines that an official violated the Constitutional rights of an individual, then the individual should have the opportunity to recover costs resulting from the loss of his or her rights. That is fair and equitable, and accepted practice for all other professions.

The new drug testing laws promoted by Mary Peters of the DOT are illegal as they violate our privacy rights by making the applicant submit to a drug screen while the screener watches the applicant. Clearly a violation of the Constitution in the name of safety and catching cheaters. Clearly she should be personally sued for initiating such an action on the people if she is ever found guilty in court of violating the rights of the citizens of the USA. Perhaps a civil class action suit? Count me in.
