Obama's Best Chance

Senator Obama has a realistic chance of winning, but attacking McCain is not the way to do it. Defending attacks from McCain is not the way to do it either.

Here is what he needs to do and note that: "All is fair in Love, War", and Politics.

Obama has a problem with a certain demographic of voter. The 30 year old and up white guy or gal. His attempt to rattle that base with "guns and religion" comment will not shake this group down. Heck, if he stood on the corner and offered these men a thousand dollars each, they still will not vote for him. And if they vote for McCain, Obama's chances are slim.

...and if they vote for McCain... and therein lies the answer! He needs to get these voters, the white guys and gals over 30, to vote for him OR another Republican Candidate other than John McCain!

If I were Barak, I think I would start shining light on the other Republican Candidates. Bring up some Independants names as well. Here is an example: Obama asks Bob Barr and John McCain to a TV debate. McCain may actually say no, which helps Barak even more when he and Barr are on national TV.

Barak has to divide the white vote as much as he can.

But he has to be nice, not attacking, and reason to the crowds that a good idea can come from an Independant, Republican, or Democrat. And when he hears a great idea like the one from Ralph Nader (insert good idea here), he needs to shine the light on this other candidate.

Barak needs to leave race completely out of the talk. But it seems fair to me to use race to win (because he is playing upon other people's irrational fears, not his own views).

Since he has the press on his side, what would it hurt for a fair minded candidate like Obama to shine the light on good ideas of the other candidates? Candidates that will get McCain votes.

Peace Out, Gary

PS I'm not for Barak or McCain. I do like to help out the candidates whenever I get the chance. I learn a lot from these people. What I really want is to get America back on track.
