How do I call the USA?

I'm spending a little time to help the American traveler who find themselves in a situation where they have a cell phone, or mobile phone, issued in a foreign country, but they need to reach the United States.  I will focus on key words so when you search online, it will be easy to find these next few posts.

How do I call the USA:

Step One: Dial 00 + 1 + Area Code + 7 digit number (of course do not use the + sign)

It will be similar to this:  0011234567890

I used this similar number to call from Kiev Ukraine to the USA, and the bank paid for the collect call.
