The Travelers Code

Travelers are a unique group of people.  We all find ourselves in a time of need, and when another traveler needs help, we return the favors.

That is the Travelers Code, "Help other travelers whenever possible."  It is that simple, and the rewards will come back to you ten times, maybe more, and we do this with kindness and without asking for money.

My biggest traveling advice is to locate your stay near someone that speaks your language while in a foreign country.  The Hotel Desk Clerk is usually the best help for those that travel and speak English.

So, if you are traveling to the Ukraine for your first time, and do not speak Russian, your best choice may be the Hotel rather than the Apartment.  There is a Hotel Clerk available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, that usually speaks English (almost anywhere in the World).

It will be good if you learn a little of the language to show you are "trying."  They all dislike the traveler who expects the World to speak English without proper concern for their own language.

If you are going to meet a girl from an agency, your best friend will probably be the tour guide, or manager.  I still recommend staying at a Hotel for first time travelers.
