My reply to an Indaba Music survey:

( IndabaMusic.com )

Ahhh... my turn. Imagine a time when you were a kid. A boy perhaps. You wanted to build a model. You wanted to build the most fascinating model you seen at the hobby shop. But Dad, wisely intervened and said you should start with the '69 Camaro "Snap Together" model.

You were dreaming big, but Dad knew that if you were to grow into this hobby, you would need the basics.

Along came Revell. The model makers. They improved model making right down to the most simplistic detailed instructions you could ever imagine. "Put soap in the water to remove the stickers", and so on.

Your company can accomplish this same feat too!

I would utilize YouTube, and just make a simple song. Right down to the details. Step by step. Call it, "Make a Song".

Put that link up on your site, "Make a Song". Go through it step by step. Use ccMixter.org if you have no looping samples on your site. Create samples on ccMixter if you have to.

The point is that you are the new "model builders" of this coming century. Show a person how to make the model (drum and bass) from simple, and also encourage creativity (vocal loops you plastered on ccMixter perhaps). Create your next customer.

Even a seasoned pro will have fun with this.

Imagine.

Imagine a time when artists look to your company as the next "Revell", and Walmart is carrying your Loops, to provide for this next generation of customers that want to explore their minds.

Peace Out, EinStud
