Reverse Stock Split

Reverse Stock Split

I'm beginning to think that "Reverse Stock Splits" are a way for companies to take money from their shareholders, when they can't get money from the market.

Every time I get a notice that there is a reverse stock split, and let's say the current price of 1 share is $1.00, the stock stills falls back to $1.00 thus effectively taking money from me, the shareholder.

I don't want to hear the reasons and benefits why reverse stock splits are a good idea. It is like telling a gas station owner the benefits of stealing his gas (there's room for more gas?).

If companies are worried about, "How the low share price looks", the dag blammit fix the problem at the top, not at the bottom!

One day, people will wake up (broke) when they realize what Wall Street is doing to the little guys (if they haven't already). They will see these jack booted thugs running down the street with their wallets in their hands, and guess who is running alongside these bastards?

I said my piece. But one last thing, just remember these times and what happens to your money no matter where you leave it.

If you leave your money on the sidewalk, it's taken. If you leave your money under the matress, it's stolen. If you leave your money in the bank, it is becoming worthless. If your money is in retirement accounts, it gets eaten by inflation. And now, our backbone to financial success, the stock market has found many ways (derivitives, reverse stock splits, bailouts, you name it) to part the fools from their money.

An interesting note to this rant. Years ago I dated a Ukrainina girl. She was afraid to put her money in the bank. She said that the banks had failed in the past, and never gave the people their money back. I laughed, and said, "Well in America, things are different. the banks are safe".

The rest of the World already knows, what we American's are about to find out. And we are no better than them.

Peace Out, totally upset on this newest stock split, EinStud
